Huddersfield University Visit Watermark

Huddersfield University research visit

Huddersfield University visited Watermark Flood Fund early December for research, Dr Julia Meaton with her group of students who are studying Risk, Disasters & Environmental Management popped over to Hebden Bridge to get the full story of what we are doing to build flood resilience in Calderdale.

Their course looks at risks in the business and organisational environment and considers the consequences when things go wrong.

They took the opportunity to visit Hebden Bridge and see how a town responds to a flooding event, they were most impressed with the community spirit here and what a project like Watermark can do for a town.

After a thorough Q and A session at our Town Hall office they explored the town and spoke to some of the flood hit businesses.
